Non-disclosure Statement
At Scottish Provident we are committed to assessing all claims in a fair and consistent manner. Along with all life insurers, we rely on customers to provide accurate information on their application form so that we can arrange appropriate cover. Unfortunately, in some cases, during our assessment of the claim we discover that the information was not correct and we are unable to pay the claim.
To help avoid non-disclosure of material information on the application form, we recommend that the following best practice be adopted:
Ensure all relevant parts of the form are completed fully and reflect accurately the questions asked
Encourage the use of additional space on application forms to give as much detail as possible. This will help ensure we can provide the appropriate cover

We would like to reassure customers that changes to their circumstances after the policy has started, for example weight gain, do not affect whether we pay a claim
